Life moves fast.  If we don’t intentionally remember GOD’s blessings in our life, we’ll forget them & our faith will suffer.  If we don’t intentionally say “thank you” to those who have invested in our lives, we’ll become prideful & our hearts will sour.  If we don’t intentionally forgive those who have wronged us or ask forgiveness from those we have hurt, we’ll become bitter & our health will even suffer.   Live intentionally this year with vision, victory, & vitality for the glory of GOD!

  1. Remember the Blessings of GOD-Almighty GOD is the Author & Giver of life, breath, & all things. He is the Creator who made us & has a plan for our lives ordained from eternity. His hand is providentially at work in our lives even before we know Him.  He pursues those who do not know Him personally as Savior & the goodness of His hand in life is designed to lead the lost to Himself through repentance & faith in Christ.  His Spirit beckons us all to surrender to Him at the cross where His love for depraved sinners ran red through the precious blood of Christ.  Remembrance of past mercies cultivates gratitude & builds faith to trust GOD in the future.  Be intentional this time of year to remember GOD’s blessings in your life.  Write them down!  The faintest ink is better than the sharpest memory.
  2. Express Gratitude to Family & Friends-Our lives are impacted by the people that GOD brings into them. Relationships are the stuff out of which our lives are woven into a tapestry of beauty. Every life is affected, benefited by, & enriched by those we know.   It is good & right to be humble & intentionally communicate thanksgiving to those who have invested in our lives.  Lack of gratitude actually cultivates arrogance & pride producing a heart that is not humble but hardened to the goodness of GOD’s hand in our lives.  Be intentional this time of year to say “thank you” to those who have made a difference in your life.  Reach out to them with a call, text, message, written note, or a hug.
  3. Forgive Those Who Have Wronged You-Life sometimes hurts really bad. We live in a broken world cursed by sin & death. Despite the pain & suffering that is so often typical of life, GOD is at work.  His hand is good & His arm is great even when life hurts.  In order to forgive those who have wronged us, we must first receive GOD’s forgiveness ourselves.  Everything we have ever done wrong is called sin & because of this we deserve GOD’s wrath in hell.  Christ died on the cross so that all our sins could be forgiven.  His grace sets us free to share that same forgiveness with others who have hurt us.  Have you received His gift?  Be forgiven, forgive others, & ask forgiveness from those you have wronged yourself.  Be intentional this time of year to forgive & banish bitterness from your soul.  Resentment & bitterness does more damage to those in whom it is stored than on those whom it is poured.

“Forgetting those things which are behind & reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13b-14 NKJV
